Terms of sale

These terms apply to every order placed with ALUR Atelier, online or through the studio.

1. Who we are

These terms are used by GGA Holding B.V., trading as ALUR Atelier, Herengracht 582, 1017 CJ Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 34319167. Email: info@aluratelier.com. Further company details are listed in our legal notice.

2. Your order and the agreement

An agreement is made once we confirm your order by email. For custom work, the agreement is made when you approve the quote.

You can change the finish of a collection piece until production starts. You can add a piece to your order until it is crated (about week 5 of production); it then travels in the same shipment.

3. Prices

Our prices include VAT. The same price applies in every EU country. Shipping costs and any optional services, such as white-glove placement, are shown separately before you pay.

4. Payment

You pay for a collection piece in full when you order, through the secure checkout or the payment link we send after your order request. The available payment methods are shown at checkout.

If you prefer to pay half of the price when you order and the rest before shipping, tell us before you order.

For custom work, the payment terms are set in the quote.

5. Production

Every piece is made by hand after your order. Production takes about 6 weeks; for custom work, from approval of the design. Natural variation in grain and colour is part of the material and is not a defect; your piece will look slightly different from the photographs. If the planning changes, we tell you straight away.

6. Delivery

We deliver within the European Union only. After production, shipping by sea takes 6 to 9 weeks. Your order confirmation states the latest delivery date.

Delivery is to the door: the carrier delivers at the kerbside or front door of the delivery address. Carrying in, unpacking, assembly, placement and removal of the packaging are only included if you add white-glove placement to your order.

The shipping rate depends on the size classes of the pieces in your order and is shown at checkout before you pay. For deliveries within the EU, we pay all import duties and import VAT. Full details are in our shipping policy.

7. Transfer of risk

The risk of loss or damage passes to you when the piece is delivered to you.

8. Right of withdrawal

Consumers may withdraw from the online purchase of a collection piece in its standard size and finish within 14 days of receipt, without giving a reason. The cost of returning the piece is borne by the buyer. Pieces made to the buyer’s dimensions, design or specification are excluded. 9. Conformity and warranty

Every piece must conform to the agreement. If a piece does not conform, you are entitled by law to have it repaired or replaced free of charge, or to a price reduction or termination of the agreement. Report a defect within a reasonable time after you discover it; reporting within two months of discovery is always in time.

In addition, we give a structural warranty of 2 years on the construction of every piece, counted from delivery. Normal wear, damage from misuse or accidents, and the natural ageing of the finish are not covered. To make a claim, send us a description and photographs by email or WhatsApp. This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not affect them.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Complaints

Tell us first, by email to info@aluratelier.com or by WhatsApp, and we will look for a solution together. We reply within 24 hours.

The European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.

12. Applicable law

These terms and every agreement with us are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
